Reagan's Baptism

Reagan was baptized this last Saturday, and what a wonderful blessing that is in for our family. We had a wonderful day and had so much family here to share this day with us, it was awesome. There were 4 other kids baptized that same day, so we met together and heard some great talks from 2 of the youth in the Kimberly ward and then Reagan was the 3rd to be baptized, so we headed in the Relief Society room and got to watch Tyler baptize Reagan.

After the baptism, we headed over to the Hankins building for a family dinner. So much fun. We ate chicken salad croissant sandwiches, chips, fresh strawberries (from Costco that were huge and yummy, btw), and then cupcakes. It was just a really enjoyable day overall and I am so proud of Reagan, he is such a great kid and a wonderful example to his sisters. I couldn't ask for a better older brother for them.

Fancy Shmancy Easter Duds!

Last week I dressed the kids up in the new Easter clothes for church and yet completely forgot to take their pictures. Church is at 8:00 am so before church it is pretty crazy and pictures are the last thing on my mind. Then, of course, after church, let's face it, it's not going to happen.

So, although General Conference was today, I asked the kids to put their Easter clothes on and we did a quick photo shoot. They were so good and cooperated better than I imagined. It was great, so here they are as stinking cute as they can be.Oh my word, they are so cute!

I found these dresses at The Children's Place in Park City. I had not planned on getting Easter dresses since Conference was today, but seriously these were calling my name.

Saturday night we did an Easter egg hunt with Kya and Zander and then this morning, the Easter bunny came, the kids had such a great time. I love having Conference on Easter, what a great day!

Our Spring Break

I know, Spring Break was a couple of weeks ago, but I am slow getting this going, sorry. We had such fun Spring Break, we spent the week in Midway at the Trendwest Resort. It was awesome, we went swimming, sledding, went on walks, played the wii, relaxed and enjoyed yummy food. We did have a bout of the stomach flu, that part was not fun, but it was fast and we were back home for the worst of it.

So, here are a million and a half pictures. Enjoy!

We loved the Swiss influence in the town of Midway, made me want to go back to Europe.

Kids and Tyler were all geared up for sledding. I, on the other hand, was content to stay in the nice condo with Ashtynn.

They wanted to make crazy faces for this one. Yep, it worked!

Aren't they so cute. and yes, we use a boogie board as a sled, it's really fast.

These 2 couldn't seem to stay on the sled, it was funny.

Mollie had a heyday playing in the snow and making snow angels.

Directly across the street was the Zermatt Resort. It was amazing and one of my favorite parts was the Ice castle sculptures. Prior to the warmer weather people could walk through these, but as you can see from the sign, that was no longer allowed, but it was worth it to just look at them, they were fascinating.

The girls and I took a few walks to come see if they were ready to fall down, now that would have been cool to see. Ashtynn loved the walks until we stopped the stroller, then she let us have it.

Mollie picked the Mountain Lion on the Carousel as her favorite.

The girls both got a kick out of this little storage shed. So cute.

We left Midway on Thursday and headed down to Provo to pick up my mom who had been staying there all week. While we were down there we took the kids to the Bean Museum with Grandma and Aunt Jacque and had so much fun taking crazy pictures. The kids were a riot.

Mollie was not so impressed with this one, my idea, she was game until she got closer to the teeth and then she was mad at us. Ooops!

She had more fun saving Elise from the crocodile or alligator, I don't know which. Elise was so funny, she got into the drama of this, it was a hoot.

Mollie was insistent on getting a picture with the buffalo, not really sure why.

These animals were awesome! I am a BYU graduate and yet I had never been to the Bean Museum, is that sad, it's even free. I'm a dork.

Reagan's Birthday

Reagan just celebrated his 8th birthday and what a fun day. His class had a field trip planned to the Herrett Center and Planetarium. Tyler doesn't have classes on Friday, so he was able to be the chaperone. They had such a good time together, getting to have lunch, watching the show and hanging out.

Tyler's birthday is on the 24th, so with only 2 days separating their birthdays, Reagan requested they get to celebrate together.

We made homemade pizza, ate cake and ice cream and opened presents. It was fun.
Reagan and Tyler were pretty excited about the Ninja cake. Reagan was pretty insistent it had a Ninja-esque theme, so I did the best I could come up with. I thought it turned out pretty cute, I love working with fondant.

As you can tell, Tyler was pretty stoked about his nerf gun, Reagan and Tyler have been shooting each other for the last 2 days, so funny.

The one thing Reagan asked for was a basketball, he was pretty pleased.

Grandpa and Grandma Larsen came over to wish him a happy birthday!

Dancing Queen

I was going through some of my folders and found this video of Elise dancing that I had forgotten about. She was dancing to her Bella Dancerella DVD and it was so cute, I started filming. Check her out. And by the way, when did my little girl grow up?

The Mysterymeg

At the beginning of the school year, Reagan's science teacher mentioned the Invention Convention that would take place in January and Reagan was all over it. She encouraged the kids to use recycled items, and he started his collection. I soon realized he was serious and figured I had better get on board and so started the "Mysterymeg".

(Do you like the Papa Kelsey's napkin, he was insistent we use that?)

Well, he turned it in on Monday and then this evening we went over to the school for the open house only to find he was one of the top 15 winners who gets to take his invention to the Boise regional Invention Convention. YAY!! Reagan! But as we were visiting with his Science teacher, who is wonderful, by the way, she mentioned he would be featured on KMVT on the 6:00 news in a story about the kids' inventions. She then told us that she had selected a few students to be interviewed and as she put it, kids who were energetic and excited about it, so Reagan was one of her choices. After his bit, she mentioned she had some other students and the guy said, oh I've got my story, he was great. So check out my son, the superstar!!! We are just tickled about it. What a kid!

Happy New Year!

This New Year's Eve, we decided to do something a little different. Since we didn't have any plans for the evening and it was just the 6 of us, we got on Priceline and booked a hotel here in Twin Falls for the night, ($35, NICE!!). We ended up in a hotel with an indoor pool, thankfully, and had the best time. We checked in around 5 and immediately hit the swimming pool. As you can see, we had a ball. Even Ashtynn got into the fun. She loved being in the water and of course, the kids didn't want to leave. We were the only ones in the pool, so it was awesome, we could goof off as much as we wanted.

I even got in and played, I think the kids were amazed, I usually sit on the sides and watch, but this was a special occasion, I couldn't resist.

After a couple hours, we went back to the room, everyone showered and then got into jammies. We played games, ate yummy food, watched movies and had some really fun family time. I loved it and I know the kids were thrilled to get our complete and undivided attention. We might just make this a family tradition.
