Happy Halloween 2012

This year we did things a little different for Halloween.  Hurricane Sandy made the weather questionable and we weren't sure we wanted to be outside (it turned out the weather was perfectly fine, but no regrets), and since we don't really live in a neighborhood, it didn't look like trick or treating was going to happen.  We went to the Trunk or Treat for the ward party on Friday, a lot of fun, the kids got to wear their costumes and came home with quite a haul in candy.

Tyler was a fly fisherman

Mollie was Tinkerbell

Elise was a Cowgirl

Reagan was Inspector Gadget

Ashtynn was  a BYU Cheerleader

Tyus was a Football (Reagan wore this same costume about 10 years ago)
So, now we decided to have a family Halloween party on Halloween Night instead of going out, complete with games, fun food, a scavenger hunt and a movie.  So much fun and if it were up to me, not sure we would do the Trick or Treating thing again, but pretty sure the kids may have something to say about that. I worked extra hard yesterday so I could take today off and have fun putting this all together.  It's not very often I have the time to cut spider legs out of olives, but with Tyler's help and a couple great naps from Tyus, we got it all together.

Started the party with some magic potion, the kids loved this.  Each of them got a different colored drink from the same soda bottle.  Magic!!!

My little Vampire Ashtynn
Some Halloween Bingo

Bowling for Ghosts

Cutest little Halloween girls I know

Scavenger Hun had them hunting all over the house and yard

And my favorite part was dinner: Mini Ghost Pizzas, Spider Venom and Magic Potion, Deviled Spider Eggs and Mummy Hot Dogs with Chocolate Witch Cupcakes for dessert

And then we ended the evening with the movie Harry Potter

These are the decorations I used, and I had so much fun putting them together.

And just because...

I have so many pictures of Tyus, I figured he needed another post, just for him.

It hit me a couple days after we came home that there are five kids.  Holy crap, count 'em, 1-2-3-4-5!!

He was not gaining weight well enough, so we had to supplement with formula.  He had no problem with it.

Reagan couldn't get enough of him.  Always willing to cuddle and rock him and could put him to sleep as well as anyone.

Mollie wanted to hold him constantly.  She even told me one night to come and get her when he wakes up because she knows how to make him happy.  She also said: "I think he likes me because of my eyes."

My diaper bag is bigger than Tyus is.

So serious!

Skinniest legs ever.

His tongue was always out.

Most handsome eyes.  I am in love with this little baby!
